Priory Portfolio

In addition to rehabilitating the Westinghouse Castle, Priory Hospitality Group owns, operates and is developing a variety of historic and non-historic hotels and hospitality facilities.  Here’s an overview: 

  • The Priory HotelLocated in Pittsburgh’s Historic Deutschtown Neighborhood, the Priory Hotel is a former Benedictine Monastery which has been adapted into a 42 room boutique hotel.  Renowned for its personal service and historic décor, the Priory Hotel has been serving guests since 1986.
  • The Grand Hall at the Priory Hotel:   Built by German speaking immigrants in 1852, the Grand Hall at the Priory Hotel now serves as a magnificent ballroom, playing host to a plethora of social and business functions, including many wedding receptions.   The Grand Hall opened in 1995.
  • Priory Fine Pastries:   Our commercial and retail bakery, housed in the original production facility of the D.L. Clark Candy Company, produces delicious cakes, pies, cupcakes and other baked delights for both the commercial and retail markets.  Priory Fine Pastries is located in the heart of the Historic Deutschtown commercial district.
  • Mansions on Fifth Hotel:  Once the home to Henry Clay Frick’s attorney, Willis McCook, the Mansions on Fifth offers a look into Pittsburgh’s storied Gilded Age past.  Mansions has 22 guest rooms and splendid meeting and event space in two separate buildings on Pittsburgh’s Millionaire’s Row in the city’s Shadyside neighborhood. 
  • Workingmen’s Bank Building:  In conjunction with partners, the Priory Hospitality Group is renovating a historic East Deutschtown bank building into an event space, gallery and rooftop restaurant/ bar.  
  • Comfort Inn & Suites – Pittsburgh, North ShorePriory Hospitality Group will be, for the first time, managing a nationally branded hotel.  The building’s under construction, with an anticipated opening in April 2020.
